The Effect of Imperialism on WW1

Imagine…..

You are a team captain and you are picking your team for dodgeball.

There are three other team captains. The goal of the game is to win.

Hopefully, you would pick the best players to help represent your team.

The same thing happened in WW1. Countries wanted to add smaller countries to increase resources. More land= more resources= more money. Many European countries were using the idea of imperialism. America realized that they wanted a piece of the pie as well so we took over small countries like Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Philippines.

Eventually, there are no more pieces of the pie left.
