-Place a new blade in your razor

-Analyze the guest's hair

-Ensure they have the appropriate hair type to receive a razor cut

GOOD: fine, medium hair textures in good condition

NOT GOOD: coarse, wiry, curly or damaged hair

~A razor can be used to achieve practically any haircut,

while giving it a softer appearance~

-Wash or fully wet down guest's hair

-Part hair according to specific haircut

-To thin the ends of hair to give texture:

hold the razor in your dominant hand, parallel to the subsection, and make long strokes using the entire length of the blade

(cut about 1/2 inch above your fingers holding the hair)

-To achieve most versatile cuts, hold the blade of the razor at a 45 degree angle when you go into the subsection, making small strokes with the blade slightly pointed to the floor and the side of the blade facing your body
