The work of a prosthetics technician is wide and varied and they will be required to call upon their manufacturing experience and knowledge of materials.
Entry requirements
Five GCSE A-C grades including English, maths and a science or engineering subject are usually required for entry. Alternative qualifications, of an equivalent level, may be accepted by the employer. At present all trainee prosthetic technicians are employed by hospitals or companies on an apprentice scheme
