The Montagne Story

In the Montagne story, Marcellin is sent to aid and to see a teenage boy, Jean Baptist Montagne, who is on his last moments until death. Marcellin discusses with the boy and tells him God is with you. Montagne is confused because he knows nothing of God. Marcellin then takes a few hours to teach Montagne about the teachings and who God is, after that had happened, Montagne now knows and has his belief in God. Marcellin is called away to another place and upon returning to Montagne, he realizes he has passed away. Marcellin was proud that Montagne was able to die with his belief in God secured. The Montagne Story and event was the main or a important piece to why Marcellin had started the Marist Brothers.
