Memorare in the Snow

When traveling to another city through the mountains, a snow storm rolled in and they were trapped and lost in the snow. Knowing this would be their last night alive, they just kept going. All of a sudden they saw a lantern in the distance and went to it. A farmer was outside holding it outside of his farm. Marcellin asked if they can get new clothes, food, and shelter. The farmer accepted. When inside, they asked him why he was outside. The farmer did not know why he had the urge to go outside and he wouldn't on a normal day.
