Obtained two young men who volunteered and Marcellin bought a house in poor condition but later fixed it up. Brother John Granjon was elected superior. Others looked down upon them as madmen. In 1836, Marcellin went to Paris to have the Brothera' Order officially recognized by the French Government but there was no cooperation. In 1838, he tried again and the result was the same. October 12th, 1839, Brother Francois was elected first superior general.
