STRUCTURE OF ATOMS

Atoms are the basic units of matter and the defining structure of elements. Everything is made up of atom. EVEN YOU ARE! Atoms are made up of three particles. They are electrons, protons, and neutrons. Electrons are the smallest of the three particles that make up atoms. Electrons are found in shells or orbitals that surround the nucleus of an atom. Protons and neutrons are found in the nucleus or in the center. They group together in the center of the atom.
