Kierkegaard
Existentialism

GALLERY

WATCH

Existentialism- philosophical idea that stresses the individual's unique position as a self-determining agent responsible for the authenticity of his or her choices.
Objective truths are irrelevant to the life of the individual
The individual seeks meaningful truths, which are relative to each person
Through actions and choices we relate to our own life
We must draw our entire existence into philosophical reflection
Reason and knowledge are not important
Faith is of the greatest importance , very subjective and personal, and is the gateway to religion
If God is proven rationally, one loses faith and therefore loses religious passion
Christianity, then is a choice which I left to the individual and faith
Either/ or - either Jesus rose or He didn't - the choice is yours.
T- objective
t - according to you
3 stages of life:
1. Aesthetic stage: lives for the moment and grabs every opportunity for enjoyment Angst: sense of dread, feeling of emptiness
Angst leads to hope! for a decision arises -a choice to leap to next stage or not
2. Ethical stage: the seriousness and consistency of moral choices
3. Religious stage: the leap of faith into the Living God
