-Born in Munich, Germany on October 7, 1900, Heinrich Himmler grew up in a middle-class conservative German family.

-He was not a healthy boy. He had an extreme respitory infection at age two, and an illness when he started school at age six. He had a lifetime of health concerns.

-He attended the Munich Cathedral Schoo, and loved history books. By age ten, he knew more than his teachers! He wasn't a very popular kid with the other students, but his teachers adored him.

-His father was not physically abusive, but supervised not only his education, but everything he did on a daily basis. He even would edit Heinrich's diary.
