Majnoon Oil Field

Majnoon is one of the largest oil fields in the world, with an estimated 38 billion barrels STOIIP (stock tank original oil in place), according to the Iraqi Ministry of Oil. Shell Iraq Petroleum Development B.V (SIPD) will operate on behalf of an operating consortium: Royal Dutch Shell Petronas and Missan Oil Company, the state carried partner. The Majnoon project consists of a two phase development. Phase I consist on reaching First Commercial Production (FCP) and Phase II focus in the development of the full field (FFD).
