Religion makes a person who they are. Over the years, the involvement in religion has decreased.
Over the years in America, the number of people who attend church hasn't risen nor dropped drastically. Although the percentage of atheist or nothing in particular Americans has drastically gone up over the past thirty years.
I think the cause for this could be that as the years go by, the technological innovations have increased and become a big part of everyday life. Nowadays, people care more about technology than the importance of religion. People haven't been enforced enough to attend church. Which leads them to be nothing in particular.
Religion is an important factor in life. We should all be more involved in it.
