Dalí and the Surrealism Movement
The surrealism movement is defined as an "artistic and literary movement dedicated to expressing the imagination as revealed in dreams, free of the conscious control of reason and convention."

Dalí is remembered best as a surrealist artist considering the vast amount of wild, imaginative paintings he created during his life.
However, during the World War II era, Dalí had conflicts with other members of the surrealist movement and was expelled from the movement.
