Coke, pop, or soda? All of them stand for the same thing, but are used in different locations. For example, people in the north/northwest are more likely to say pop while people in the northeast mostly say soda. Although pop and soda are the mostly commonly used in southern states such as Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

Another controversial term is the word used to describe a group of people. The two most common terms are you guys and y'all. The word y'all is very southern and can be found in the southeastern states while you guys is more proper and is used everywhere else.
