Rylee is currently taking antibiotics and mucus thinners that are supposed to keep her comfortable in her end stage of life. The medicine she takes makes it a little bit easier to breathe and it works to keep infection away.

Rylee's other organs have not yet been affected but her lungs are only working at 30%. The antibiotics that she has taken aren't taking effect quick enough to stop serious infection, which in turn wear down her lungs.
