Pueblo and Navajo 

- located in current day american southwest

- tapped rivers to irrigate maize (maize was 80% of their diet)

- also cultivated sunflowers beans and squash

- hot and dry enviornment- led to famine

- built stone and adobe buildings

- women took care of children, farmed, and cooked

- men were hunters, warriors and political leaders

- government and economy were based on agriculture and using the materials around them to build structures
