Introduction/Thesis
Throughout the Cold War, there was a sense of political and military tension between the United States and the Soviet Union and their allies. The events following the Cold War further complicated international affairs. During this chaotic post Cold War era, the United States made some correct decisions; However, they also made some bad decisions. A few of the responsibilities the United States took on after the Cold War added to the trouble faced as a result of their bad decisions.
