The white-tailed deer can be found from southern Canada all the way across the United States, except in some western states.

The deer reproduce in the winter, have three babies at a time and give birth in May or June.

White-tailed deer are primarily nocturnal.

They come out mostly at dusk and dawn to avoid their predators.

White-tailed deer are very good at avoiding these predators by relying on their speed, agility, and jumping ability.

They are also very good swimmers.
