Accomplishments

Other than the inventions he made, Benjamin Franklin is also known for:

- One of five men who helped draft the Declaration of Independence.

- Writing and publishing Poor Richard's Almanack in 1732.

- Helped draft and negotiate the Treaty of Paris in 1783 to end the Revolutionary War.

- Helping with the establishing of the Academy of Philadelphia(now known as the University of Philadelphia).

-His famous kite-and-key experiment in 1752.

- Participated in the Constitutional Convention and signed the Constitution.
