What We Need

Which courses ARE NOT SB155 eligible, but HCC is waiving costs for eligible students?

These courses have to be marked differently, so we do not incorrectly report them to the state. Billing rules are still applied to these courses to avoid student charges.

Note:

Any course that is not SB155 funded, but we are not charging eligible students for is assigned these defaults:

‘Tier 0’ and ‘Extra Cost 0’

Note:

Any course that we know is funded, but do not know the tier/extra cost level for will be assigned these defaults:

‘Tier 1’ and ‘Extra Cost 0’.

Of these courses, if they were previously funded, what is the ‘Extra Cost’ amount, and ‘Funding Tier’ they were in?

With new assessment rules in place for next semester, and with significant pressure to get our SB155 setup correctly nailed down so we don’t wind up with errant charges and overflow problems, we knew the time was appropriate to get a larger, one-time meeting together to talk through how our institution handles SB155 classes and charges. Select groups of us have talked this through in pieces, but we’ve never captured the whole process start to finish and therefore have some problematically scary outliers.
