Maximising the potential in diversity has a lot to do with awareness and mindset. Be open, be curious, hold back with assumptions and try not to judge.


Take the time to build relationships, sooner rather than later. Time spent together at the early stages of cooperation helps.

Be mindful of the impact of using different modes of communication. Email is fast but misses the nuances, especially where the risk of misunderstanding is high.


We connect through communication - appreciate the (unspoken) differences between native and non-native speakers of English.


There are many barriers to collaboration … what more can we do as HR professionals to raise awareness and make the most of so much (untapped) human potential?
