Mythical Beast Poem
In the middle of the night,
I heard a rattling noise beside me
But before I could realize it,
A pair of pants covered my mouth.
As I looked over to my right side,
I saw my closet transforming.
Its hangers turning into sharp teeth
And a huge tongue made up of socks.
As its creaking drawers opened beneath,
A wave of t-shirts flew towards me.
Plain, striped, and polka dotted
They all engulfed me at once like an avalanche.
Until I realized that it was only the blankets.
