Jesus was born in Bethlehem. But why? He chose to be born in Bethlehem because it it is the same place where David was born, thus fulfilling the covenant God made with David. And then secondly, the word Bethlehem means "house of bread" and Jesus himself is called the "living bread from heaven." It makes since that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem because he is the bread of life born in the house of bread.
