As a person who just recently downloaded Snapchat, I had absolutely no idea what the app was really about. I thought it was another one of those social media apps where everyone who uses it looked pretty ridiculous taking their "selfies" in the middle of class or the hallway. But I truly have come to the realization of how important Snapchat can truly be. For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past four years (yes, Snapchat has been around that long) just like me, you may not be aware of what Snapchat is. Well, it is a video/picture messaging app that uses augmented reality filters to which you apply to these videos/pictures and then send them to your friends that have the app.
