The Desert Region is the hottest region in California. It is in the south eastern corner of California. The deserts in California are called the Mojave desert and the Sonoran Desert. The Mojave Desert is elevated 2,000 to 5,000 feet above sea level. The Sonoran Desert changes and gets hotter during the day. The Sonoran Desert's temperature range is 52°F in the winter and 86°F in the summer. The Mojave Desert temperature has be as low as 8°F in winter and 119°F in summer.
