How she started her career

Delta has one younger brother, Trent, who is a Australian rules football player. Delta's parents Denis and Lea who are now divorced named her after Joe Cocker's song "Delta Lady". When she was only seven Delta appeared in an American advertisement for the Galoob toy company, at the same time she started to learn singing, dancing, acting and piano. Between this and until she was fifteen Delta kept on appearing in numras comricals. Venturing into the music industry Goodrem signed a contract with Sony music at the age of only fifteen. Then in 2003 her album innocent eyes realised with great success, topping in the Australian albums chart and coming two in the UK album chart. It was one of the highest selling albums in Australian history, selling over 4 million copies. Each of Delta's albums had similar success in the ARIA albums chart. Although Delta's career was going smoothly and with great success she had dreadful drawback, while her album mistaken identity was being created she was suffering from cancer.
