a legendary signature

As he was developing the Appassionata collection, Roberto Coin, an avid reader, came across an ancient Egyptian legend. The ruby, considered by the pharaohs to be the most powerful of stones, would bring health, happiness, prosperity, and longevity to a woman who wore it close to her skin. Enchanted by this legend, Mr. Coin decided to use the ruby as his signature inside each piece in the Appassionata collection. As Roberto Coin aficionados became captivated by the ruby, Roberto Coin began using it as the brand’s signature inside each piece of our jewelry.

Today, the ruby is an immediately recognizable mark of the brand. As Mr Coin says, “if it has the ruby, it’s Roberto Coin. No ruby, no Roberto Coin!”
