There are two types of tundras, arctic and alpine. The arctic tundra only gets around 6 to 10 inches of rainfall each year, but much of the rain is collected by boggy pools and shallow lakes.
The alpine tundra has more rain and snow. Alpine gets around 33 to 40 inches each year but the wins and humidity cause it to evaporate quickly.
