What is a Space Probe?

A space probe is a piece of spacecraft sent of into space to collect information for NASA. A space probe does not carry astranouts. Some probes study earth where as other probes study other planets and stars. The space probe includes gadgets such as special cameras and telescope to collect data. More sophisticated probes, that are sent out to other planets, are called orbiters, landers and rovers. Other space probes go into orbit around other planets and moons, instead flying past the planet.
