Self identification with nature

This element plays a mayor role on my environmental identity.

How I felt climbing on the black berry tree was not so unusual considering my upbringing. Afternoons spending at the dinning table listening to my father stories and his views of life, along with my mother's gardening lessons put the seeds of what today is called systems thinking. Here my sense of collective* was stablished and my quest for identity began.

As the yucca needs the sunlight to produce energy, I also need to be among plants and animals of this prairie ecosystem to feel alive.

*As interdependent and link to all the beings that are part of the environment as a whole system
