Course Description

U.S. History is a two quarter course that explores issues, events, and people from the late 19th century to the Vietnam Era (or as close as we can get). Like any history course, U.S. History will expose students to a wide variety of skills, such as analyzing primary documents/media, synthesizing information from a variety of sources,creating an effective method to communicate to a specific population, and so forth. Students’ participation/input is a big part of individual and class success. The course goals are for students to be able to 1.) Think Like Historians, 2.) Be literate citizens of multiple media, and 3.) Communicate using historical evidence.
