Family Life

Padre Pio grew up as any other ordinary kid did. He had two parents whose names were Grazio Mario Forgione and Maria Guiseppa de Nunzio Forgione. Also, he had an older brother, three younger sisters, and two siblings who died as infants. In the Forgione household, religion was the center of their lives. Padre Pio's grandparents and parents played an important role in setting the seeds of faith for Padre Pio.
