Describe the caste system in India and how it affected Indian society

The caste system in India is an important part of Hindu tradition and culture which dates back to 1200 BCE. The caste system dictates one's occupation, dietary habits, and interaction with members of other castes. There are four main castes: Brahmins (priests and teachers), Kshatryas (warriors and ruler), Vaishyas (farmers, traders, and merchants), and Shudras (lavorers). The caste system's effect on India society is that communication between people are limited and there is a hierarchy of social dominance.

How did the caste system spread to different religions in India?

The Aryans organized themselves into three main groups and took over different parts of India. Because of this, their organization was spread and and it became to be the caste system.
