The Novel Cat's Cradle

Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut consisted of different events and scenarios that described the fight towards equality by using humor. John, the narrator and main character, collected several events that occurred within a journal. One of the events that occurred was the atomic bomb. Throughout this journey of events, new characters were introduced. Each event that occurred had some sort of relation to events that occurred during the 70s. The purpose of Cat’s Cradle was originally set off to be a book about one single event that occurred. However, as more research was done about the event, the ideas that Kurt Vonnegut had, expanded into a book. By the end of the novel, events were created and thoroughly elaborated through religion, objects and people. Cat’s Cradle was a humorous yet sophisticated fictional book.
