Theodore Roosevelt unexpectedly became the 26th president of the United States in September 1901, after the assassination of William McKinley. Roosevelt won a second term in 1904, and became known as the greater trust buster. He was known as a trust buster because he broke up businesses, and monopoly's worth billions of dollars.
