Supporting community-led resilience

Key Insights:

- Resilience requires protecting productive assets against a variety of shocks and stresses.

- Community-led efforts are important and yield important benefits, but also need to be linked up to efforts at other scales (e.g. national policy or land tenure).

- Communities have existing strategies for managing variability and shocks – successful resilience programmes support and strengthen these strategies and capacities.
