Common Name:Plate Brilled Mountain Toucan
Scientific Name:Andigena laminirostris
Diet:Eats Mainly fruit,but occasionally insects and eggs.
Adaptations:light weight that let's the bird fly(bright colors)
Natural Habitat: They are found in the western Andes from Southwestern Colombia. In humid and wet montane forests and secondary growth where there is bromeliads and mosses.
Status: endangered They are threatened due to deforestation, subsequent habitat loss, and illegal capture for pet trade.
Status:Flagship bird of La Planada Nature Reserve in Columbia.
