Beavers range all throughout North America except Florida. They will also not be found in Mexico or northern parts of Canada.

Beaver breed with only one mate, if one mate dies the will "re-marry." Females only carry the babies for 3 months.

Mates will remember each other's scent and that is how they tell the difference. As a warning signal beavers will slap there tails on the water.
