From the results, it can hence be concluded that the five point seatbelt system is indeed effective in restraining the passenger, reducing the potential risks to their health and safety.


If this experiment were to be carried out again, there are various factors that could be improved. A passenger with more realistic body proportions could be used, to rid any disparity that might occur between experimental model and real life. Material emulating that of an actual five point seatbelt is also a possibility, to display the 'stretch' of the seatbelt. Experiments can also be widened to encompass the waist seatbelt for passengers in planes or the over shoulder and waist seatbelt in cars for comparison to the five point seatbelt, to compare and contrast the differences.
