MacArthur was famous in WWI for walking in front of his troops into battle and continued to through WWII (shown left).

One of MacArthur's more well known quotes was "I Shall return"; very similar to the Terminator's "I'll be back", but with no correlation between the two.

Despite his discharge, MacArthur returned to the U.S. as a hero in the public's eyes.

MacArthur's corncob pipe is still produced today by the same company that manufactured his as a tribute to his legacy.
