Sweeney Todd is a musical and the beautiful thing about it is that the main points are told though song rather then just a character telling how they feel.

The Messages are not being told through simple talking

For Example

“Epiphany” a song Sweeney Todd sing right after he lost a change to kill Judge Turpin. This song describes various messages in the movie; people who don’t do things they are supposed to do should die, his revenge on Judge Turpin, and that he will never see his wife and daughter again.

Epiphany shows messages and feelings such as a gothic dark feeling, Sadness of Todd not seeing his wife or daughter ever again, and anger with him trying to get revenge.
