Portuguese Explorers

Portuguese explorers had a lot of early success exploring with explorers such as Vasco da Gama leading the way. Vasco da Gama was the first person to sail around Africa to India starting a maritime route from Portugal to India. Explorers such as Henry the Navigator also played large roles in facilitating Portuguese exploration by encouraging others to do so.
