- Among students who said they carried a gun, 53% said they had obtained the gun from home or a family member; 37% obtained the gun "off the street"


- In 80% of all school associated fire arm related homicides and suicides, the weapons were obtained from home or friends and family


What these statistic show is that many of the weapons that students use to hurt themselves and others in school are mainly from home. If their parents could be more responsible with keeping the guns locked up in a safe place where the kid couldn't reach them, that amount of accidents could be grewtly reduced
