Appalachian Mountains

The Northern Rockies are formed of carbonate sedimentation about 17 miles thick. The Southern Rockies has many ranges exceeding heights of over 14,000 ft. Colorado alone has over 53 peaks that exceed this limit.

Appalachian Mountains has elevations in the north that exceed over 5,000 ft. In the south the Great Smokey Mountains is one of the highest peaks at over 6,000 ft
