Landforms

What are landforms? What are some examples of landforms around the world?

A landform is something that is made up of rock and dirt. It is a natural dirt mound made by earth. The landform can be as low or as high as you can imagine.

A few examples are, Dry Lake, Dune, and Erg. Dry Lake is a dried out lake. Dune is a mountain of sand or a hill of sand. Erg is the last one which is a sand covered desert.

What could cause landforms to change over time (think natural and human causes)?

One thing that could cause landforms to change is erosion. Erosion happens because of the weather/climate. Types of erosion is the rain, snow, earthquakes, etc. Erosion is when the weather weathers down rock, dirt, sand, etc.

The other thing that could cause landforms to change is cause of us humans. We cut chunks of rock to make other things, take dirt from one place and bring it to the other. Landforms change because of this. The landforms end up looking very different.
