Roads in the 1920's

Ford model T owners demanded asphalt roads to protect their cars from debris.

Dirt roads existed, but not paved roads. Paved roads didn't come into effect until the 1950's.

"Good roads"- initially a movement started by bicyclists to lobby the government to invest in highway, and later included car drivers.

Ford introduced the ford model a, which had stronger components, but relied on better roads to run.
