Your child will continue to refine his fine motor control. He will learn to build a tower using four small blocks, scribble with a crayon and snip simple shapes with a pair of scissors. Bilateral co-ordination will also develop as he learns to use both hands to do two things at the same time. For example, he will learn to hold a bowl in one hand and scoop from the bowl with another. Your child will also be able to manipulate finger movements better. Important pre-writing skills are also developing at this stage.
