Overtime Islam had spread of African countries such as Ghana. This had a strong influence on the country's folk artists. The religion revived the idea of geometric patterns in folk art.


By the continuing globalization of the world, international artists continue to take inspiration from African artists.


Recently in a festival know as Chale Wote, in which different art pieces are shared such as jewelry, paintings, and furniture pieces. Many artists from Africa contributed their art pieces in festival allowing other international artists to take inspiration from them
