How Did This Story Come To An End?
Karen Ann Quinlan finally died from pneumonia, while still being in a vegetable state.
There are hospice centers named after Quinlan, where people have a right to go to these centers and get comfortable to pass away.
Thanks to Quinlan, we now have a living will, which is the right to die. It is the right to not use other methods to keep someone alive. If you cannot breathe on your own or eat on your own, you have the right to die peacefully, without fighting and to pass away with dignity.
