The Defeats

Causes

-there were 4 vital factors: alliances, weapons and horses, geography, and disease
The region was widely know by an Indian woman named Malintzin (or Malinche)
-she was a guide and an interrupter and with her help he made lots of alliances with many tribes that paid tribute to the Aztecs
-had better weapons/technology
-the armor didn't match the force
-they also brought horses which had never been to them before (they were terrified of them!)
-they Spaniards blocked the causeways and waterways which killed thousands of them
-the final factor was disease like smallpox they unknowingly brought it and it swept through like the Black Death
-others didn't have the strength to fight
-which altogether made a massive advantage
-when the Spainsh came it was the end of the Aztec Empire
