After the subject was conditioned, a hiatus is employed to the then test how long the conditioning may last. There were a few days during break that I did not see the subject and the neutral stimulus/ conditioned stimulus was not applied in such context. After a few days the subject and I met up again and I filmed him as I said 'I love you' again and I documented a clear reaction/ reflex as he expected a painful pinch.

If after the hiatus, the neutral stimulus is no longer the conditioned stimulus and no longer elicits a reflex or reaction (conditioned response) it is called extinction. (Which is not present for this case in this set timeline
